Professional designation and insurance
Trautman Chan and Alice Wong hold the RSW designation. Extended-health coverage for social-work services varies by plan. Confirm that your plan covers services provided by an RSW before booking.
What is the difference between RCC, CCC and RSW?
RCC is a designation issued by the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors for counsellors who meet its graduate education, clinical supervision, ethical and practice requirements. CCC is a national certification issued by the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association for counsellors who meet its graduate education, ethics and continuing-education requirements.
RSW is registration with the BC College of Social Workers. Social-work practice can include counselling as well as psychosocial assessment, advocacy, service coordination and connection with community resources. These designations reflect different professional pathways rather than a ranking.
