Therapeutic approach
Behaviour Therapy
Behaviour Therapy focuses on observable patterns, learning processes and practical changes that can reduce avoidance and support more helpful routines.
How it works
The work examines what happens before and after a behaviour, identifies what may be reinforcing it and develops manageable alternatives through practice.
What it may involve
- behavioural activation
- graded exposure
- routine and sleep planning
- skills rehearsal and reinforcement
It may be considered for
- avoidance and inactivity
- fear-based patterns
- low motivation and withdrawal
- habits affecting sleep or daily functioning
How it may be used at Kaeva
Behavioural strategies are often integrated with CBT, REBT, mindfulness or psychosocial work. Exposure is planned collaboratively and proceeds at an agreed pace.
Finding the right fit matters
No single approach is right for every person or concern. Your counsellor will consider safety, readiness, preferences, goals and whether the approach fits their training and scope.
