What ICBC currently provides
Under Enhanced Care, people injured in a crash are generally pre-approved for treatment during the first 12 weeks after the crash. Counselling is included, and a claim number is required. ICBC public materials list up to 12 pre-approved clinical-counselling sessions during this initial period.
Treatment after the initial period may require further approval or an extension.
Before booking
- Obtain your ICBC claim number.
- Confirm that counselling remains available under your claim.
- Confirm the counsellor’s current direct-billing arrangement.
- Ask whether any amount could remain payable by you.
